I am an amateur photographer living in East Anglia, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. I come from a farming family so I have a special interest in the landscape and weather conditions. I also enjoy photographing animals, both wild and domestic.
The rich and varied local landscape supports a wide variety of plants and wildlife, from the sandy heathland of the Brecks to the coastal saltmarshes - I am rarely stuck for a subject to capture.
I use Canon digital slr cameras and lenses, combined with Adobe Photoshop software, and I love the control this gives me over the finished product. Just like having a darkroom, but with none of the messy chemicals! Thanks to the digital revolution I have also become very interested in photo manipulation and digital art, and I enjoy working on old photographs, which I scan, turning them into digital files. I can then do whatever repair is necessary, such as scratch or stain removal, and bring treasured memories back to life.
However, I am always happiest out of doors, trying to do justice to those big skies...
